ॐ Om

ॐ Om or ॐ Omkar has been called as the Supreme Mantra.

In the Shrimadbhagavad-Gita Lord Krishna has said ॐ Omkar as one of his Forms. ॐ Omkar has been said to the prime or root in the beginning of the creation.

In the Yogasutra of The famous author of Yogasutra, seer Patanjali (200 B.C.) has prescribed in his celebrated Texts Yogasutra for the rosary of ॐ Om. He has also said for the meditation on ॐ Om for the practitioners of YOGA to attain Samadhi.

ॐ Om has been elaborately described in Kathopanisad, Mundakopnisad and other Upanisads as highly pious, Supreme and Ultimate.

ॐ Om is the combined utterance of three sounds - 'a' ('') , 'U'( '')  and 'M' (''). In fact ॐ Om is the representation of all trio. The Space scientists while performing there researches and  experiments have expressed that the remote waves coming from deep space seem to be assuming sound like that of  ॐ Om. This also testifies the ॐ Om as Primeordial source in creation.
